Meridian Support
Cupping & Gua Sha
Cupping and gua sha may help promote circulation and release fascial tension, supporting relief of neck, shoulder, back and waist discomfort and feelings of heaviness.

How Cupping & Gua Sha Work in TCM
Cupping uses suction on the skin to promote local circulation and release fascial tension; gua sha follows meridians to move stagnation and ease neck, shoulder and back tightness. Both are often combined with acupuncture or pain management.
Dr. Ng assesses whether the techniques suit your constitution and provides aftercare (hydration, avoiding drafts). Broken skin, clotting issues, marked oedema, or certain pregnancy sites may be unsuitable; neurological red flags need urgent Western care first. See process & fees. Results vary.
For longer postural neck pain, also see neck pain and sciatica for when to book sooner.
Desk-related neck and shoulder tightness, damp heaviness, or post-exercise muscle binding — after we confirm cupping or gua sha is appropriate.
Technique and retention time follow pattern assessment. Marks can appear; aftercare matters. Results vary; not for every constitution.
